Stars produce planets and moons and other debris. Stars come from Galaxies doing what galaxies do.

Before planets cool down, they are molten hot sizzling bodies with heavy elements in the atmosphere.

As it cools it forms a crust, and chemical recombinations occur and precipitate heavier stuff like water.
